Hi---Bar guys---what is the technique to remember the measures of the cocktails ingredients ,lets say if a?
cocktail has Spirit,liquire,juice sugar how you guess how much is which one,is there any myth,etc or do u remember the glass let say a martini should be total of 80ml of liquids thanks surprisingly i am bar manager,i dont make so many drinks but want to remember the theory for better control
Pairing appetizers with cocktails?
I'm planning a very small cocktail party with some friends and am wondering what cocktails I should serve. For the appetizers, I've got deviled eggs with lemon and dill, herb cream cheese on cucumbers and toasted baguette, Vietnamese spring rolls with a sweet tangy spicy dip, brownie cookie bites, and French strawberry macaroons. I was hoping to find at least 3 cocktails to go with the food. And by the way, the guest of honor loves coconut and pineapple so if you know of any drinks besides pina coladas with those ingredients, that would be awesome. Thanks

my boyfriend and i were recently in ayia napa and while we were there we had a cocktail called sex drugs and rock n roll from the live lounge venue, i would like to make this cocktail for some friends as we enjoyed it so much but cannot find the recipe anywhere. i do remember looking at the ingredients at the time trying to remember them, but of course i forgot them after a couple of drinks. is there anyone who has been there and had it and can remember the ingredients??
How to plan a mixer (cocktail party) or a casual party in general?
I'm thinking about throwing a mixer cocktail party in December and I need some info on a few things. I know what kind of them i want and I don't know how many guest because I'm sure in the next few months I will meet some interesting people so I want to make sure I save and spend a decent amount of money. So how much should I spend on this occasion? I want it to be something semi luxurious casual if you'll say but not too expensive, a decent price. And should I go with meals or hor'dourves? I'll be turning 21 here in October and wanted to start planning my birthday party. I was thinking of staying at my house and having a French or Italian cocktail party with a signature drink. I just had my new bartender refuse to share the cash till with the cocktail waitress...my policy is that the cocktailer and bartender pool the tips and split them at the end of the night...they work out of the same cash till and ring everything in under the same number...he, my bartender, said it was illegal and absolutely refused to do it, even though I told him this is the way I want it done and this is the way it has worked for a very long time...does he have any validity here?
